In fact, there is a tool that is very suitable for cutting soft materials, such as sponge, EPE foam, polyester cotton, glass fiber cotton, and even multi-layer PU materials. Powered by the drive blade, it oscillates rapidly in 8mm amplitudes, thereby cutting the material. It is the large-amplitude oscillations that reduce the stretching of the material during cutting, enabling perfect cutting of soft materials.
Each tool has strict boundaries and cannot be substituted for each other. In fact, many of the functions of pneumatic oscillating tools have been replaced by more and more high-power electric oscillating tools. Why? Because both of them have large amplitudes, they are very similar in mechanical structure, and both can be used to cut high-density, high-hardness, and large-thickness materials. At the beginning, many factories recommended pneumatic oscillating tools to everyone. Due to the use of pneumatic control, the vibration frequency can reach 8,000 times per minute, while the high-power oscillating tool uses a servo motor, and its vibration frequency is only 3,000-4,000 times per minute, so when cutting the same material, the pneumatic oscillating tool is faster. But the biggest disadvantage of the pneumatic oscillating knife cutting machine is that it requires a compressed gas of not less than 0.75MPA, and a high-power air compressor needs to be installed. Generally, the power will not be lower than 11KW, so the processing cost per hour is very high.

Its advantages are fast cutting speed, low requirements for material adsorption, and good at fast cutting of large pieces. Its disadvantage is that it is not suitable for cutting complex shapes such as small circles.
